During the workout

The app stays open
while you lift.

Most logbooks are for writing things down afterwards. SETR is with you during — which is where it actually matters.

The set you owe, on screen

Target weight and reps, what you did last time, your personal record. Nothing to look up, nothing to work out.

You log it, and how much you had left

How many more reps could you have done? That single answer is what lets the app raise your weights at the right pace.

The plates to load on the bar

182 lb — what's that per side? The app works it out from the plates your gym actually has. And during the rest, it shows the key cues for what's next.

    What's next, always in view

Right under your sets, the app already shows the next exercise: its sets, its reps and its rest time. You know what's coming without looking anything up.

Progressive overload

A coach that pushes your numbers up.

After each set you say how many reps you had left in reserve. SETR turns that into next session’s weight — no spreadsheet, no maths on your side.

Recovery

Every muscle recovers at its own pace.

See at a glance what is ready to train again and what still needs time. The app can pick your next session from how recovered you actually are, rather than from a fixed day of the week.

Muscles worked
How to do it
1Lie on the bench, eyes under the bar, feet firmly planted on the floor.
2Grab the bar with an overhand grip, slightly wider than your shoulders.
3Lower the bar under control until it lightly touches the middle of your chest.
4Press the bar up to full arm extension.
Tips

Keep your shoulder blades squeezed and a slight natural arch in your lower back. Keep your elbows at about 45° from your torso rather than flared all the way out. Drive your feet into the floor to stabilize your whole body during the press.

Mistakes to avoid

Bouncing the bar off your chest instead of a controlled touch. Flaring your elbows too wide, which stresses your shoulders. Lifting your glutes off the bench during the press.

Questions

What people ask us most.

Is the 14-day trial really free?

Yes. Nothing is charged during the trial, and you can cancel in one click before it ends without paying anything. A reminder email goes out before the deadline.

Does a subscription bought here work in the app?

You create your SETR account here, subscribe, then sign in to the app with that same account. Your subscription is recognised straight away, on iPhone and on Android.

Can it be cancelled at any time?

Yes. In one click, from the management link in every email you receive from us (confirmation, renewal), without emailing anyone. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

What happens after the 14 days?

The subscription starts, unless you cancelled before then. You get a reminder email before the trial ends — we do not like nasty surprises either.

Is any of this data sold on?

No. No ads, no third-party analytics inside the app, no data resold. Ever. The details are in the privacy policy.

Switching phones — is everything lost?

No. Your sets, cycles and settings belong to your account, not to the device. Sign back in the same way you signed up and everything is there.
